Quick Prayer Requests

Hey Friends - been a while since we've written...it's been a tumultuous couple of days here in Ukraine. Please keep the following in your prayers:

  • We were under the impression that we would be getting Dima today (Tuesday), which got pushed back to tomorrow, which now looks like it will be Thursday, due to the fact that the computers are down in an entire town (yes, that happens over here). Anyway, pray for patience on our parts, and that the issue gets resolved.
  • Pray also for Tristan's behavior, and again for our patience. Six year old behavior tends to be cyclical but as bad luck would have it, he's in an especially bad cycle.
  • Finally, there seems to be one power tool produced/sold in Ukraine, and it's the drill. And it seems that everyone in our apartment building is drilling something into their walls at any and all hours of the day. Pray that we don't go insane listening to this.

Sorry this is so curt - just "keeping it real" as the kids say. A kind friend sent us Oceans Twelve, and we're going to watch that for some escapism...the same friend also sent us Boondock Saints, but I'm afraid it would make Ted even madder.

  3. I didn't know we could SEND YOU THINGS... What's the address??? Are you going to be there long enough for a care package to made the trans-oceanic voyage?

  4. BTW, the insufferable Julia Roberts acting more insufferable than ever in Oceans 12 would be far more likely to make me angry than a feel-good romantic comedy like Boondock Saints.

you crack me up. insufferable julia, eh? well, i'll let that one go, but we are for sure dueling over You've Got Mail.

it's now officially too late to send us a package, it takes 7-10 days to get here. my mom sent us some stuff we requested (mostly kids clothes, because the kids clothes here are 1) expensive and 2) how you say... not to our taste. but a friend slipped in a few dvd's)
